Rose Speech Therapy
Providing Speech/Language Pathology Services to North Carolina
Rosie is the owner and primary provider of this purposefully small speech/language pathology private practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults who wish to improve their ability to communicate. Unlike many larger sized speech therapy practices, Rose Speech Therapy offers uniquely individualized services which include close communication with families and teachers to better facilitate carryover into everyday speech. While based in Cary, NC, some clients receive speech and language treatment in the convenience of their own homes and schools in nearby locations, or virtually from across the state. This practice is currently accepting new clients from ages four to adult.
Free speech/language screenings virtually or in person by appointment.

Laurie 'Rosie' Rose
M.S. CCC.-SLP
My name is Laurie, but I prefer to be called Rosie (Mrs. Rosie to the children)! I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language & Hearing Association (ASHA), and a license to practice speech pathology by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Initially, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language pathology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1995, followed by a Master of Science degree in speech/language pathology from Loyola University Maryland in 1997.
Since this time, I have provided speech-language pathology services to a wide variety of populations and ages of children and adults, including work in two public school systems, several private preschools and elementary schools, a variety of hospitals (acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings), nursing homes and assisted living communities, and two private practices which I started myself. Currently, I am a group leader providing facilitative leadership to individuals with communication challenges resulting from Aphasia.
In 2009, I had to bid farewell to my first private practice, ‘Capitol Speech’ in Alexandria, VA, when my husband was transferred out of state. Now that we have a family and have relocated to Cary, N.C to stay, I am very excited to have started up a 2nd speech/language pathology private practice with Rose Speech Therapy. After 25 years practicing, I am still incredibly passionate about helping children improve their communication abilities as efficiently as possible while having fun and enjoying the sessions!
